Habitat’s Philippines trip is a ‘go’

A team of 10 student members of the UW-Green Bay Collegiate Chapter of Habitat for Humanity is headed to the Philippines in August to build homes and hope in the aftermath of last fall’s typhoon. They have been actively fundraising to cover their trip and transportation costs. In these past 12 weeks, they have raised an astonishing $14,610 toward their contribution to Habitat for Humanity-Philippines, and an additional $14,000 toward their transportation costs. The online campaign is over now, but the team would like to extend a final reminder to anyone who would still like to contribute to simply make out a check to UWGB Habitat for Humanity-Philippines and send it Mike Stearney, SS 2000. Donations of any amount are welcome, and will go toward transportation costs.
