Helpap offers take for Fox 11 story on John Doe probe

Assistant Prof. David Helpap, Democracy and Justice Studies, provided some context Monday (June 2) for a Fox 11 News story on the ongoing John Doe probe into Gov. Scott Walker’s recall election campaign. Walker’s team is likely to downplay the probe on the campaign trail, saying the investigation has no impact on the state and nothing has been concluded, Helpap said. Challenger Mary Burke’s side, however, might use the investigation to question whether voters want someone who is the subject of such a probe in office.
