Student drive was bloody success
Remember that campus blood drive that Dracula would have been proud of, held back on April 28? You know, the Red Cross blood drive that featured vampire-themed prizes, including hardcover books, book box sets, DVDs and other goodies? Well, the hosting Circle K student group reports to us that the drive was a success. The event collected 88 units of donated blood, about 25 percent more than the group’s goal. And in case you’re wondering, the nurses didn’t have to puncture anyone with an oak stake to get that much.
