Governor’s Office proclaims Public Employee Recognition Week

University officials and the Human Resources office are calling attention to University of Wisconsin-Green Bay faculty and staff and their outstanding and dedicated service. The following is excerpted from a Governor’s Office memo:

“State employees’ work touches the lives of people all over the State of Wisconsin, every day of the year. We are fortunate to have a talented state workforce full of people who are dedicated to public service and to improving the lives of the people of Wisconsin. Given the state of the economy and the impact on the state budget, this year more than ever it is important that we recognize the good work and dedication of our employees. In order to recognize our extraordinary workforce, Governor Jim Doyle declares Wednesday, May 6, 2009 as State Employee Recognition Day and the week of May 4-8 as Public Employee Recognition Week.”

Thank you for all you do to support the University of Wisconsin-Green Bay, as well as the State of Wisconsin!
