Ready to ‘shock and offend,’ Griffin does interview ahead of Weidner show

Promising audiences “two hours of blowing off steam and no holds barred,” outrageous comedienne Kathy Griffin previewed her Thursday, Sept. 12 Weidner Center show during a recent interview with the Green Bay Press-Gazette’s Kendra Meinert. The resulting story, which headlined Thursday’s (Sept. 5) Weekend section, serves as a good reminder for parents attending the event to get a sitter — and for fans of Griffin to get ready for a one-of-a-kind show in which no topic is taboo. “So let me tell you my favorite thing in the world, first and foremost, is live touring,” Griffin said. “There’s nothing like it. No rules. No regulations. That’s why I still tour so much. My material changes almost every show, because there’s so much to say, so much going on, I can barely keep up with it.” Tickets remain available at www.weidnercenter.com/.
