It’s sort of like ‘American Idol,’ except for assistant coaches

There’s a release up at Green Bay Athletics noting that assistant men’s basketball coach Brian Wardle has been named one of 20 semifinalists in the “Rising Stars” category of the BasketballScoop 2009 Coaches of the Year awards. There aren’t many awards for assistant coaches (actually, aside from this one, there are none), so it’s kind of interesting, plus there’s online voting through April 15.
