In the media: Press-Gazette’s Gerds remembers Linda Erwin
The Green Bay Press-Gazette’s Warren Gerds fondly recalled UW-Green Bay’s Linda Erwin with a column during the weekend, following Erwin’s death earlier this year. Well known to many in the UW-Green Bay and larger communities, Erwin retired from the University in September 2001 as managing director of the Weidner Center for the Performing Arts. In his column, Gerds offers a glimpse at Erwin’s life through nostalgic interviews and anecdotes, including some of the odd requests and brushes with fame Erwin encountered in her Weidner Center role. (We’re told friends at UW-Green Bay are considering some form of remembrance, perhaps a small gathering in association with a 2012-13 Weidner mainstage evening TBA, and will keep you posted.)
