Positive reviews for Sutton’s plays at Venture Theatre

If you haven’t yet seen the pair of new one-act plays written by our friend, Prof. Brian Sutton, and staged at De Pere’s Venture Theatre, there’s another chance this week. What’s more, Press-Gazette reviewer Warren Gerds suggests the music and comedy of “Running Mates” and “Can I Buy You a Drink?” are well worth your time. “Fresh and original,” he writes, with songs that convey heartbreak to happiness. Playwright Sutton plays guitar and keyboards as accompaniment for the musical revue. The companion piece, “Running Mates,” involves relationships and a marathon run. See the review.
