Media coverage: National honor for Wojta
Press-Gazette beat writer Scott Venci offers a nice recap of Tuesday’s exciting news that UW-Green Bay Julie Wojta is a second-team selection to The Associated Press’ all-America team. She led the Phoenix to a 31-2 record and a fourth straight trip to the NCAA Tournament averaging 19.5 points, 9.9 rebounds, 3.8 steals and 3.6 assists per game. Venci also notes that the highest previous national honor for a Phoenix women’s player came in 1999, when Chari Nordgaard made the honorable-mention list. Read more.

Phoenix Athletics has a nice video up, in which Julie Wojta talks to local reporters about being named AP all-America, retaining an agent, and the possibility of playing professionally.
