UW-Green Bay campus offers opportunities to register to vote
GREEN BAY — Still need to register to vote?
Citizens – students and non-students alike – are welcome to take advantage of the opportunity at the University of Wisconsin-Green Bay campus (2420 Nicolet Drive) between Monday, Oct. 13 and Wednesday, Oct. 15.
The University is hosting a voter registration drive over those three days where anyone can make themselves eligible to vote for the Nov. 4 election.
The voter registration drive is sponsored by the Wisconsin Students Public Information Research Group. The goal of the drive is to register as many people as possible, including at least 1,500 first-time student voters.
As of Oct. 2, UW-Green Bay had the 11th-most newly registered voters out of 1,100 universities being tracked by the Web site, www.StudentVote.org. Most of the other universities in the top 10 had upward of 40,000 students.
