Circle Drive road work

Already broadcast campuswide but repeated here for the record, and for the benefit of our off-campus friends: Reconstruction work now getting under way on East Circle Drive will continue through Aug. 26. The area affected extends from the four-way intersection at Leon Bond Drive all the way to County I and the Scottwood Entrance. Facilities Planning officials say the roadbed will remain open during construction with only brief closures expected.

More road work

Current reconstruction timetables indicate a section of Leon Bond Drive that is “inside” Circle Drive (nearest the Kress Center) will be closed to all traffic next Monday and Tuesday (Aug. 8 and 9). Drivers heading to the Kress, Mary Ann Cofrin Hall or the University Union will be directed to use Walter Way or Laboratory Sciences Drive as alternate routes. Additionally, on Wednesday, Aug. 10, the softball parking lot at Garot Field will be closed for culvert replacement.
