Change could be coming for U-Pass program

Changes could be in store for UW-Green Bay’s U-Pass bus service agreement with Green Bay Metro. Officials on both sides are exploring a proposal that would bill the University 25 cents per ride on a quarterly basis, instead of the current arrangement that allows students, faculty and staff unlimited rides in exchange for a total contribution of $35,000 a year, with half underwritten by student segregated fees. Our own Jeff Gross, interim public safety manager, told the Press-Gazette U-Pass remains popular but no longer makes financial sense under the previous formula.
