Summer camp season is here; Press-Gazette has the details
A number of UW-Green Bay summer camps are helping area students mitigate summer learning loss and have a great time doing it, the Green Bay Press-Gazette reported this weekend. The story in Saturday’s (June 11) Press-Gazette outlines the myriad camps and programs offered on campus, from Spanish immersion for kids and adults to the multi-generational Grandparents University. “It’s so important for young people to be learning in the summertime,” said Mona Christensen, director of summer camps and programs. “If you can get them signed up for a summer camp, it’s engaging their brain activity and increasing their social skills.
