Softball closes with winning record, individual honors

The Green Bay (24-22, 10-13 HL) softball team closed its season earlier this month with wins in four of its last five games, including a road win in Madison against the Badgers. When the Horizon League handed out its softball postseason awards, junior Alli Rivera was first team all-league, and freshman Shannon Butts was a top newcomer. Rivera led the Phoenix with 45 hits, seven home runs and 33 RBIs this season. (With 13 HRs she sits atop Green Bay’s individual career record list.) Read more.
