Photo gallery: Bee program gets A+ from ‘After Thoughts’ crowd

As the bees go, so goes our food supply. That is what an overflow audience of 175 women took away from UW-Green Bay’s first After Thoughts program — a wonderfully successful event that convened campus and community women for an evening of friendship, fellowship, enrichment and fun. The program took place in the Weidner Center grand foyer early evening Tuesday (March 1).

Prof. Amy Wolf, an ecologist and one of Wisconsin’s foremost experts on bees, led the program discussion. She passed out packets of wildflower seeds for the women in attendance to begin building their own bee habitats this spring, charging attendees with aiding in conservation efforts for the good of the natural world’s ecosystems.

Sponsors of After Thoughts are Schneider National Foundation and Billie Kress, with organizational help from individuals on and off campus. For a gallery of smiling faces and more on Wolf’s presentation, click here.
