News report: Veterans’ impact at UW-Green Bay growing in size, scope

A front-page article in Wednesday’s Green Bay Press-Gazette draws attention to a growing trend on college campuses, including UW-Green Bay: More veterans are enrolling. Elaina Koltz, the veterans services adviser at UW-Green Bay, told the paper about 200 students are veterans receiving benefits, a number she expects to grow. She also said many veterans return from duty with disabilities or emotional issues. “In addition to academic support, they need health and counseling services,” Koltz said. “We need to think about how to deal with a vet coming back.
