Reminder: Veterans Day reception

UW-Green Bay Chancellor Thomas Harden will lead an observation of Veterans Day on Thursday, Nov. 11, by hosting the 2010 reception to recognize veterans associated with the University and the local community. All veterans – including students, faculty and staff – are invited to participate in the event at 4 p.m. in Phoenix Room B of the University Union. The guest speaker for the Chancellor’s Veterans Reception will be Brown County Executive and UW-Green Bay alumnus Tom Hinz. The public is invited to attend and show appreciation to local veterans. Don’t forget items for care packages

As part of the Chancellor’s Veterans Reception, the Vets 4 Vets Student Club will be collecting items for care packages to be sent to currently activated service members. Some ideas for possible items to donate include: AT&T phone cards, Amazon gift cards, beef jerky, socks, candy, footballs, soccer balls and DVDs (movies, TV series).
