Profs. Malloy, Martin earn Research Scholar Awards
Profs. Kaoime Malloy of Arts and Visual Design (theatre) and Judith Martin of Social Work have been selected as the UW-Green Bay Research Scholars for spring 2011. The program, administered by the Research Council and supported by the Office of the Provost, provides a three-credit course release for faculty members to advance their scholarship.
The winning proposals:
• Malloy’s project, “Introduction to Theatre Design Textbook,” addresses the need for an introductory design textbook for use in theatre, and is already under contract with a publisher
• Martin will investigate “Abusive Mothers and Fathers: Parenting Practices and Intervention Implications.” Her goal is to conduct a systematic analysis of current research on possible gender differences among abusive parents.
The program is open to all full-time, tenured or tenure-track faculty members at UW-Green Bay. A call for a Fall 2011 Scholar will be announced in September.
