Passing of Prof. Al Loomer

With sadness we note that longtime UW-Green Bay faculty member Al Loomer died Friday night (May 7) at Ripon Medical Center. The 97 year-old former meteorologist and math teacher was recently hospitalized with heart troubles. His death came six days after his wife Maurine passed away. While he retired some years ago, he remained in touch with the UW-Green Bay community, a regular participant in commencement ceremonies.
