UW-Green Bay Marinette Campus hosts Career Opportunities Expo
More than 200 area high school juniors and seniors attended sessions at the Marinette Menominee Area chamber Career Opportunities Expo held on the UW—Green Bay, Marinette Campus. The event held on January 10 was part of the Education and Workforce Development Committee Outreach. Area students attended sessions with about 50 community volunteers to discuss various career paths. Area businesses also provided demonstrations for students to engage and learn about local business and industry, including welding, AR experiences, 3-D printing, counterfeit bill detection, career surveys and more.
Local educational institutions including UW-Green Bay ad NWTC organized 24 experience stations, as well as 13 career cluster panels with business and industry professionals discussing their career path and what their day-to-day looks like.
