Student chefs have recipe for success!
Pamela Koehler-Zastrow of A’viands tells us that last week’s Iron Chef competition at the Union was deliciously good fun.
Four teams participated, and approximately 40 people including friends and family from off-campus tasted the excitement. Leah Korger and Rhianna Kunes of the “Edible Alchemy” team took home top prize, a one-night stay at the Tundra Lodge.
Their creations included a tomato slice lightly breaded and fried served with an avocado sauce, seared flank steak with pine nut infused couscous and asparagus, and spiced apple slices topped with coriander whipped cream and caramel.
