Jan. 17 is MLK community celebration
The 14th Annual Community Celebration of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.’s Birthday has been set for Saturday, Jan. 17, 10:30 a.m. to noon, on the campus of Northeast Wisconsin Technical College. UW-Green Bay representatives are among the organizers. This vibrant, multicultural celebration is free and open to people of all ages. Attendees will enjoy musical and dance performances as well as the inspiring words of Dr. King spoken in multiple languages. A light lunch featuring diverse cuisine such as curried lamb samosas with chutney dip and spiced okra salsa with sweet potato chips, will be served at a reception immediately following the program.
