UW Sea Grant announces internship opportunity

The UW Sea Grant Institute is now accepting applications from graduate students statewide for NOAA’s 2010 Sea Grant Intern Program (a.k.a. the Knauss Marine Policy Fellowship). Beginning its 31st year, the program allows interested graduate students to spend a year beginning February 2010 in Washington, D.C., where they work on marine- or aquatic-related policy issues with congressional staffs or federal agencies. Recipients have come from a wide range of disciplines – biology, law, economics, fisheries, zoology and more. The total value of the package is $44,000. Deadline to apply is Feb. 20.
