Winters training for 2010 Winter Games
You may have seen her swooshing along the pathways between campus buildings. In two years, you may see her swooshing along trails in the 2010 Winter Olympic Games in Vancouver. Johanna Winters, class of ’07 (and a talented artist and athlete) decided she wasn’t done hitting the trails after her collegiate career ended. She is currently training with the Central Cross Country Olympic Development team, hoping to make it to the next level. “I really value having a good work ethic and being able to set and meet goals. This is an opportunity to pursue excellence every day. It’s rewarding to see personal progress in the athletic arena,” the Falcon Heights, Minn., native told the Minneapolis Star Tribune.
