Permanent Collection announcements from the Lawton Gallery
There have been a few exciting changes to the Lawton Gallery Permanent Art Collection including a collection database, collection room hours and some new accessions.
The Lawton Gallery staff has been working over the last few semesters in collaboration with the David A. Cofrin Library staff to create a searchable database of the permanent collection. While still in progress, the database is available to view.
Recent accessions include “Who’s Pulling Your Strings” by Lori Jae. As well, Prof. Christine Style (Art and Design), upon her retirement, has donated a large portion of her print collection to the Lawton Gallery, including student work, University of Wisconsin System Faculty, work from visiting artists, collaborations, work by regional artists and more.
The Lawton Gallery is now offering Permanent Collection Room hours, which will give students, faculty and community members the opportunity to see artwork from the collection in person and up close. Learn more about the permanent collection.
