UW-Green Bay, Marinette Campus’s Flatt named new NWTC Dean

NWTC- Marinette has a new dean and she comes from just up the road. Jennifer Flatt was named to the campus’ top post this week. Flatt is no stranger to higher education in the area. She comes to NWTC from the UW-Green Bay, Marinette Campus where she spent the last 19 years in various roles include Associate Campus Dean for Academic Affairs and First Year Program Coordinator. Comedian Jo Koy brings a new tour to Green Bay, October 24, 2019 at 7:30 p.m., tickets on sale May 23

Comedian Jo Koy will launch his Just Kidding World Tour this fall and will bring the tour to Green Bay on October 24 at 7:30 p.m. Tickets will go on-sale Thursday, May 23 at 10 a.m. Ticket prices start at $39 and will be available to purchase at WeidnerCenter.com, 800-895-0071 or in person at Ticket Star located at the Resch Center. The comedian is currently wrapping up his sold-out Break The Mold World Tour just in time for his highly anticipated Netflix special, Comin’ In Hot releasing June 2019. The Just Kidding World Tour will feature all new material not on the previous tour and upcoming special. This week’s veggie sale – mixed greens

Available on the Green Bay Campus this week, mixed greens – $4/bag. “This week we have a lovely mix of organic salad greens that have a dynamic range of leaf shapes and colors.  An amazing palette of greens and reds in an array of leaf shapes and textures. The flavors are equally diverse: spicy to mild to slightly sweet. This mix includes red mustard, green mustard, Chinese cabbage, pac choi, and tatsoi. Varieties are subject to change depending upon availability.”

Supplies are limited, so first-come, first-served. Along with your request, please feel free to include a few things you would like to see planted in the garden this year.

Pick-up is Wednesday, May 22, 2019 from Noon to 1 p.m. Please go to the University Union outside The Phoenix Bookstore entrance. If you request some produce, please remember to pick it up so the produce does not go to waste. If these times do not work for you, please send Schmit an email with your order and something can be arranged.

Photos: Commencement is a joyful time for graduates and those who support them

Parents, friends, peer groups, children, suite mates, grandparents, faculty members… the list is long of those who support their special graduate at commencement. In some cases, the 2019 UW-Green Bay graduates are the first in their families to earn a college degree. It’s a BIG day and a joyful occasion. We captured a few of those post-commencement moments.
