Dr. James and Patricia Hinckley of Green Bay will be recognized at UW-Green Bay spring commencement this Saturday, May 12, with the institution’s highest community honor, the Chancellor’s Award. The Hinckleys’ relationship with the University dates to the late 1970s and includes substantial involvement with, and support of, the University’s academic mission, the fine arts and Phoenix Athletics.
Stephanie D. Freis, who will receive her bachelor’s degree in Psychology with summa cum laude (highest) honors and distinction in the major, has been selected to be the student speaker for May commencement this Saturday (May 12) at the University of Wisconsin-Green Bay.
The Weidner Center for the Performing Arts is proud to announce the 2012-2013 Stage Doors Education Series, providing learning opportunities for students throughout Wisconsin and Upper Michigan. The season kicks off in October 2012 and extends through April 2013, featuring 11 titles and a total of 21 performances.
David John Depeau is the May 2012 recipient of the Outstanding Student Award as selected by the University of Wisconsin-Green Bay Alumni Association. He will receive the award at a student award ceremony on campus Friday evening, May 11. He will also be recognized from the stage during UW-Green Bay spring commencement the following day.
Kathleen Christensen, a distinguished UW-Green Bay graduate who is one of the nation’s leading authorities on the American workforce, will deliver the commencement address when the University marks its 43rd spring commencement at 11:30 a.m. Saturday, May 12, at the Kress Events Center.
A newly reinvigorated partnership between the University of Wisconsin-Green Bay’s Adult Degree Program and Wausau-based Northcentral Technical College is bringing NTC grads “One Degree Closer” to earning their bachelor’s degree, thanks to a guaranteed credit transfer agreement between the two institutions.
