Recognition of the University of Wisconsin-Green Bay’s success with a pair of freshmen-retention initiatives —the First-Year Seminar program and FOCUS — has yielded additional funding to further those efforts.
Prof. Steve Dutch was a witness to history July 8 as space shuttle Atlantis blasted off for the final time. Dutch joined upward of a million people expected to turn out near Florida’s Kennedy Space Center for the historic launch. It was the last of the space shuttle missions, marking the end of an era for U.S. space flight.
