UW-Green Bay to hold guest brass recital

The University of Wisconsin-Green Bay music program will present a guest recital Sunday, April 3, featuring the “Brass Circle Quintet.” The free recital will begin at 7:30 p.m. in the University Theatre inside Theatre Hall, and is open to the public.

A software application called GreenPrint is on track to achieve green savings at the University of Wisconsin-Green Bay. The program not only encourages faculty, staff and student workers to make more conscious decisions before hitting the “print” key, it also filters out extra, unneeded pages before they reach the printer.

The University of Wisconsin-Green Bay will host a special program for women about how communities respond to disasters from 5-7 p.m. on Tuesday, April 5, in the Weidner Center for the Performing Arts foyer. Lucy Arendt, a professor of business administration at UW-Green Bay, will share her expertise in a talk titled, “In the Face of Disaster, How Resilient is Our Community?” as part of the After Thoughts series.

The University of Wisconsin-Green Bay has announced the recipients of the 2011 Alumni Association Awards. The winners will be recognized at Alumni Awards Night Saturday, April 30, in the grand foyer of Weidner Center for the Performing Arts. The annual alumni awards ceremony recognizes alumni who have made special contributions to the University and their community.
