Bay Beach Amusement Park’s first ever Fall Family Fun Weekend kicks off on Friday, Oct. 12, 2018. The family-friendly weekend will be filled with rides, throwback pricing, special treats and a movie behind the pavilion.
Hours of operation will be as follows:
- Friday, Oct. 12, 2018 from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m.: $0.10 tickets.
- Saturday, Oct. 13, 2018 from 2 p.m. to 8 p.m.: Trick-or-Treat at rides and “The Incredibles” movie.
- Sunday, Oct. 14, 2018 from 2 p.m. to 8 p.m.: 2008 food and beverage throwback prices.

October 28-30 is the 18th annual UW-Green Bay Family Weekend. Families of UWGB students and staff are invited to come see campus and attend a number of events, such as the Haunted Trail, hayride, Cheapseats and more. Most events (even free ones) are ticketed. The Phoenix Bookstore is open extended hours this weekend in celebration of Family Weekend. Shop Friday 4 to 6 p.m. and Saturday 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. and save 20 percent! FREE balloon animals and face painting on Saturday between 10 and 3. Discounts and activities extended to all. No coupon necessary.
Organizers of UW-Green Bay Family Weekend and Alumni Reunion Days couldn’t have been luckier with the late fall weather that greeted their events over the weekend. Every Friday is #Phoenix Friday, but this week (Friday, October 24) organizers cranked it up a notch with a mini-pep rally, a meet and greet with Green Bay men’s basketball coach Brian Wardle and a basketball-themed giveaway in the Union at Noon. Friday is your last chance to “Swap Your Logo” and save 20% on apparel at The Phoenix Bookstore, which has extended hours for Alumni Reunion Days and Family Weekend. Saturday Bookstore hours are 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., with face-painting and balloon-making from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., Saturday. There are activities every waking hour of the weekend beginning with a Shorewood social (1970s) at 3 p.m. Friday. Go Phoenix! Go Green Bay!
The Phoenix Bookstore will be busy this weekend in conjunction with Family Weekend and Alumni Reunion Days events. On Friday (Oct. 24), the store will remain open until 6 p.m. Saturday hours are 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. with a 20 percent discount on most items extended to all shoppers. Face painting and balloon art will take place between 9 a.m. and 1 p.m. under the “Big Top Tent” along with an area for rest and coloring.
Family Weekend is slated for Friday through Sunday, Oct. 24-26 on campus. All faculty and staff families are welcome to participate. Lambeau Field tours, movies, theatrical performances, hay rides, bingo and Phoenix Fan Fest are among the offerings. (It’s the same weekend as Alumni Reunion Days.)
