Summer Campus Preview Days had UWGB’s enrollment team reaching out to staff members across campus to help lead tours. Answering the call were Jeff Willems (Residence Life), Jena Richter (Marketing), Liz Teubert and Kari Moody (Advancement). Campus Visit Experience Coordinator Katelyn Santy expresses her appreciation on behalf of the Admissions team to staff and the faculty who assisted with the academic sessions (Bill Lepley, Jim Loebl, Kay Voss, Jamie Froh Tyrrell, Gail Trimberger, Doreen Higgins, Ryan Martin, Kate Burns, John Katers, Steve Meyer, Mike Zorn, James Marker, Steve Newton, Karla Miller, Jeff Benzow and Denise Bartell, who was a co-presenter during the main presentation). Santy also thanks staff members who participated in the resource fair and leaders of the University Union and Shorewood Golf Course (specifically Lee Reinke), A’viands, and The Phoenix Bookstore —“they were instrumental in coordination of the events.”.

UW-Green Bay hosted record attendance for Summer Campus Preview Days in 2015 with hundreds of students and their families finding out about the transforming power of a UW-Green Bay degree. In total, UW-Green Bay hosted 259 students and more than 700 total guests — more than a 50% increase from last year. During the final Preview Day of the summer, a number of dedicated staff members outside of Admissions left their regular posts to help guide families on the tour.
Our friends in Admissions remind us to keep our smiles on this Friday (July 31) for a waiting-list crowd at Summer Campus Preview Day. About 290 guests, 103 of them prospective students, will be visiting from 9 a.m. to noon to learn more about the UW-Green Bay experience.
There is uplifting news out of admissions and enrollment today. Summer Preview Days are so popular they have been capped. On July 31, 289 guests (98 of those are potential UW-Green Bay students), and on Aug. 7, 302 guests (109 potential UWGB students) will attend Summer Campus Preview Days. (Both dates have wait lists). It is the first time that Admissions has closed Summer Campus Preview Days so far in advance. Jen Jones, Assistant Director for Admissions Marketing, Media and Recruitment, credits increased visibility through digital advertising and increased and more targeted invites to students and families. This year’s invite list also included ACT name purchases from local, Illinois and Michigan residents, who based on specific criteria, are considered “good fits” for UWGB. Jones says it seems a good indicator of interest in those applying for admission for fall 2016. Students can still take advantage of daily visits and Fall Campus Preview Days. The admissions’ staff sends “a huge thank you to all the staff, students and faculty who work together to show off all that our amazing campus offers.”
Friday (July 17) is the first of summer’s three Campus Preview Days. Our friends in Admissions share the terrific news that we are already at capacity and have closed registration for the July 17 and 31 dates. (Some openings remain for the Aug. 7 preview.) This year’s participation is already guaranteed to exceed last year’s final count, which is good news as UW-Green Bay prioritizes enrollment of potential new freshmen. The program tomorrow begins at 9 a.m. in the Union’s Phoenix Room, with tours of campus from 9:45 to 11:30 a.m. The morning ends with ice cream and a resource fair in the Union around noon. Be sure to say ‘hi’ and ‘welcome’ to our guests!
This Friday (April 3) marks the first of the two Spring Campus Preview Days. Attendance is expected to be around 400 people (a great indicator of interest in UW-Green Bay). The Admissions Office extends its appreciation in advance to the current students, faculty, and staff who will make this a great day for prospective students. As you see visiting families touring campus on Friday, please welcome them to UW-Green Bay. Stay tuned for the second preview day on April 24.

The inaugural event included a special lunchtime Get the Scoop ice cream social, which was enjoyed by the campus community and preview day attendees alike.
