SBDC at UW-Green Bay among partners for four-week lean marketing series

The Wisconsin Small Business Development Center at UW-Green Bay is a partner in presenting “Marketing Made Lean,” a four-part, 16-hour workshop series for micro and small businesses.

Marketing Made Lean attendees will learn to use techniques for gathering customer insights and feedback to increase brand awareness. The program will build on the traditional “4 Ps of marketing” and introduce participants to Entrepreneurial Marketing and the “4 Cs,” helping them identify their best customers and sharing tactics for driving referrals. The sessions feature hands-on activities designed to reinforce concepts and create a lean marketing plan complete with budgets and expected return on investment.

Each of the weekly workshops is four hours long and will build on the previous week’s session. The workshops are broadly broken out to include “Defining your Business Purpose and Reconnecting with your Vision,” “Customer Relationship Strategies,” “Positioning and Developing Marketing Channels,” and “Marketing ROI, Strategic Plan and Implementation.” The series includes facilitated instruction, books, tools, canvases, worksheets, templates, a marketing expert call-in series and refreshments. In addition, participants will receive one-on-one coaching during and after the series, and will have access to monthly Marketing Made Lean call-in sessions with experts in the field.

The Marketing Made Lean series sessions will be offered at the following times and location:

• 5-9 p.m. Mondays, Aug. 4-25, Farm Market Kitchen, Algoma
• 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Tuesdays, Aug. 5-26, Northeast Wisconsin Technical College (NWTC) Marinette campus
