UW-Green Bay presents array of summer 2014 Offerings for Educators
UW-Green Bay Education Outreach is presenting a host of new and returning summer 2014 Offerings for Educators, a variety of online and in-person courses designed to help teachers, administrators and other professionals obtain the practical education they need to apply theory and best practice to the classroom and school environment.
Area educators are encouraged to check out such courses as “Communicating and Collaborating With Google Tools,” which will help participants learn to use a variety of Google Tools (including Docs, Calendar, Sites and more) to create content, collaborate with others and gather, publish and manage information. This popular course will be offered for educators’ convenience in both Pulaski and Sturgeon Bay. Tech-minded educators may also want to consider “Google Tools: Moving your Skills to the Next Level,” and two popular iPad courses: “Integrating iPads Into the Curriculum” and “Using iPads to Enhance Unit Design.”
Other courses for summer 2014 focus on early literacy, math, science and much more. K-12 educators can choose from such science courses as “Citizen Science in the Classroom: Engaging Students in Authentic Scientific Inquiry” and “Methods of Field Biology for Educators: Monarch Butterfly Ecology and Research.” Education Outreach will continue to add more courses, so educators are encouraged to check the course listing (www.uwgb.edu/educationoutreach/) often for the latest updates.
Detailed course information, including syllabi and cost and registration details, is available online at www.uwgb.edu/educationoutreach/. UW-Green Bay courses for educators align with Wisconsin standards for teacher and administrator development and licensure.
