UW-Green Bay alumna helps Syrian refugees in Greece

Diana Delbecchi ’10 (Human Development and Psychology) volunteered in a Syrian refugee camp in Ritsona, Greece for four months in 2016. Her job was to do research on the refugees’ educational opportunities for a Sweden-based company called I Am You, and was then asked to implement programs based on her findings. During her time in Greece, she met young refugees that she connected with on a personal level. After serving her time in Ritsona, Delbechhi visited the children in the countries they were placed in, including the Netherlands, Sweden and Finland. She returned to Greece to support pre-school education, and to create curriculums for pre-school programs. Read the full story in St. Norbert College Magazine.
