System, Extension, Tech Colleges launch mobile Veterans Education Portal

Military veterans now have access to higher education resources through their mobile devices, thanks to a partnership between the UW System, UW-Extension and Wisconsin Technical College System. The groups have released a smart phone-friendly version of the Veterans Education Portal, which launched in November 2010 to help veterans transition from military service to college life. Vets who want to take the first step toward completing their education can access information about Wisconsin’s veteran education benefits, academic programs and support — all in one place, tailored for display on the small screen.
