Henderson to replace Ward as UW System’s top academic VP

UW System President Ray Cross has announced the appointment of James P. Henderson as the next Vice President for Academic and Student Affairs. Henderson currently serves as provost for the University of Louisiana at Lafayette. He was previously with Cal State Los Angeles and the University of Colorado at Colorado Springs. He’ll start March 15, replacing a longtime favorite of ours, interim VP David Ward, formerly of Green Bay and Oshkosh. Henderson earned a Ph.D. and M.A. in Mathematics at UW-Madison and holds master’s and undergraduate degree in math from the University of Texas-Austin.
