Gerds previews UW-Green Bay kids’ production of ‘Three Little Pigs’

Local 5 Critic-at-Large Warren Gerds previewed the UW-Green Bay Opera and Musical Theatre student production of “The Three Little Pigs” in a Tuesday (April 15) column, noting that Mozart originally wrote the story — sort of. “Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart composed music,” Gerds writes, “and two centuries later somebody else came along and adapted his music to the classic tale of three pigs and a big, bad wolf.”

As we told you here yesterday, the 35-minute adapted UW-Green Bay performance is geared toward children in grades K-3. Public performances are scheduled for 4:30 p.m. Tuesday, April 22 and Friday, April 25 (the former performance will have limited seating due to a large group) in the Jean Weidner Theatre at the Weidner Center. An additional performance will take place at Wequiock Elementary School.
