Dean Furlong interviewed by New York Times

UW-Green Bay academic dean and political scientist Scott Furlong was interviewed recently for a New York Times piece headlined, “Unions Recruit New Allies on Obama’s Behalf in Battleground States.” In states including Wisconsin, unions are forging closer alliances with outside groups including, the N.A.A.C.P. and Planned Parenthood to join their canvasses and phone banks. Analysts say the reality of declining membership is driving the strategy. Furlong’s comments are included near the end of the story.
