UW-Green Bay rock camp director, band open for Chicago

A reference to UW-Green Bay’s Rock Academy summer camp kicked off Press-Gazette reporter Kendra Meinert’s entertainment column last week, mentioning the great stories a homegrown guitarist will have for campers next summer. Green Bay native Michael Tahlier opened last week for the legendary band Chicago, as a member of the Illinois band Tim Stop, Meinert reported. It was the last of five dates the band has played with Chicago this summer, she added — “and a definite pinch-me music moment for Tahlier …” And while Meinert points out that the Rock Academy camp director likely will have to explain to his middle-and high-school aged students exactly who Chicago is, it will nonetheless be an outstanding chance to share stories from the road. Full column.
