Faculty note: Weinschenk publication

Political scientist Aaron Weinschenk, a new assistant professor of Public and Environmental Affairs, recently had a solo-authored article on political psychology accepted for publication. The interdisciplinary article “‘Cause You’ve Got Personality: Political Participation and the Tendency to Join Civic Groups,” draws on insights from the fields of personality psychology and political science. Weinschenk’s research explores the extent to which individual personality traits influence various forms of political and civic engagement, including voting in national elections, attending local meetings, contacting elected officials, and participating in civic groups and clubs.
