UW-Green Bay student Taryn Oleson, a teaching assistant for Assistant Prof. Elizabeth Wheat, Public and Environmental Affairs, has been accepted to present at the 72nd Midwest Political Science Association conference in Chicago in April. She will be presenting her research titled “Waukesha, Wisconsin’s Application for Use of Lake Michigan Water: A Policy and Legal Analysis.” Wheat was the adviser for the project, which analyzes Waukesha’s contentious, out-of-the-watershed request to pipe Great Lakes water inland.

For Schmidt, the topic is ‘Foreign aid… empowering women’

Also accepted to present at April’s Midwest Political Science Association conference in Chicago is Public and Environmental Affairs student Taylor Schmidt. Her adviser, Assistant Prof. Dallas Blaney, says Schmidt’s essay is titled “Foreign Aid, Solving Gender Inequality, and Empowering Women.”
