Book by Voelker and Gurung a collaborative effort across UW
It’s a great example of interdisciplinarity and of teaming with peers from across the UW System. Prof. Regan Gurung (Human Development, Psychology) and Associate Prof. David Voelker (History, Humanities) published the book, “Big Picture Pedagogy: Finding Interdisciplinary Solutions to Common Learning Problems: New Directions for Teaching and Learning,” with contributions from faculty across the UW System. UW-Green Bay contributions included those from Associate Prof. Katia Levintova (Global Studies), Associate Prof. Gaurav Bansal (Business Administration), Associate Prof. Janet Reilly and Christine Vandenhouten (Nursing), Assistant Prof. Joan Groessl (Social Work) and lecturer Keven Kain (History). The book offers a “comprehensive range of ideas and techniques for improving college teaching based on the experience of seasoned instructors and the latest findings of educational and psychological researchers.”
