Kimberley Reilly to deliver presentation on women suffrage-Door County Pulse
UW-Green Bay’s Kimberley Reilly (Democracy and Justice Studies, History, Women’s and Gender Studies) will deliver a Door County Talks presentation, “Woman Suffrage 100 Years Later: Assessing Its Triumphs and Limits” on Feb. 22, 10 a.m., at the Door Community Auditorium in Fish Creek. One hundred years after women won the constitutional right to vote, Reilly will discuss the ways in which the women’s-rights movement won passage of the Nineteenth Amendment and the lessons we can learn from that victory.
