Faculty note: UW-Green Bay professors present at 4W Summit, April 11-13
Professors from multiple UW-Green Bay campuses are presenting research and providing leadership in formal interdisciplinary discussion at the annual Wisconsin Women’s and Gender Studies Conference and 4W Summit on Women, Gender, and Well-Being, April 11-13 in Madison.
Katia Levintova (Democracy and Justice Studies, Political Science, Global Studies, Green Bay) will join a Women’s Gender and Sexuality Studies Consortium sponsored roundtable panel on the challenges and opportunities presented by the restructuring. Alison Gates (Art, Women’s and Gender Studies, Green Bay) co-presents on Transformative Feminist Strategies in Art and Craft Activism. Ann Mattis (English, Composition, and Women’s and Gender Studies, Sheboygan), Valerie Murrenus Pilmaier (English, Composition, and Women’s and Gender Studies, Sheboygan), Alison Staudinger (Democracy and Justice Studies, and Women’s and Gender Studies, Green Bay) and Jessica Lyn Van Slooten (English, Composition, and Women’s and Gender Studies, Manitowoc and Green Bay) are presenting a roundtable discussion about using Meyer and Land’s threshold concept model to shape both individual pedagogy and program development in Women’s and Gender Studies, especially in the context of restructuring.
