UW-Green Bay’s 6:30 Concert Series returns for sixth year
Line-up includes the holiday music of Ella Fitzgerald and a new, live film score
GREEN BAY – The University of Wisconsin-Green Bay’s 6:30 Concert Series returns with “Lydia Frumkin, piano,” Wednesday, Sept. 19, 2018 at 6:30 p.m. It will be the first of seven performances in the series by UW-Green Bay music faculty and guests during the 2018-19 academic year. The full schedule is as follows:
- Wednesday, Sept. 19 — Lydia Frumkin, piano
- Tuesday, Oct. 23 — Florentine Opera featuring the Donald and Donna Baumgartner Studio Artists
- Tuesday, Nov. 27 — Akros Percussion Collective
- Tuesday, Dec. 12 — (There’s No Place Like) Swing for the Holidays: Holiday Music of Ella Fitzgerald

The 6:30 Concert Series is designed to connect the campus with the community through the exploration of music. Performances feature insightful presentations by performers, composers, and special guests. The series offers new perspectives on diverse styles, often exploring the music from multiple angles. All performances:
- Take place in the Weidner Center’s Fort Howard Hall, Cofrin Family Hall or Grand FoyerBegin at 6:30 p.m.
- Last between 60 and 90 minutes
- Are free and open to the public (excluding the Dec. 12 concert); donations are gladly accepted
