Coming to the Weidner Center: Akros Percussion Collective, No Place Like Swing and more

Here’s what is coming to your Weidner Center:

The Akros Percussion Collective is Nov. 27 as part of the 6:30 Concert Series. Founded in 2006, Akros is a gathering of percussionists dedicated to the aesthetic sensibilities of new and experimental percussion music. The performance is sponsored by Doctors in Recital and is funded in part by a grant from the Green Bay Public Arts Commission. This concert is free, but donations will be gladly accept.

There is nothing like live swing music, especially for the holidays! You don’t want to miss (There’s No Place Like) Swing for the Holidays in a fun and uplifting concert by Courtney Sherman, the Green Bay Jazz Orchestra and UW-Green Bay Music faculty, featuring music from Ella Fitzgerald.
