Engineering students hear from professionals

UWGB engineering technology students have had the opportunity to listen to a number of professionals in their field of study, recently. On Sept. 28, Assistant Prof. Ryan Holzem (NAS) led a discussion, “Introduction to Environmental Engineering Technology.” On Oct. 5, Ross Barrette, a senior standards engineer at Wisconsin Public Service (WPS), presented “Electrical Engineers in the Utility.” Holzem and Barrette’s presentations detailed their experiences working as environmental and electrical engineers, as well as other career positions in the utilities. The talks provided students with an overview of the functions of both careers, as well as several guidelines for their own career paths.
