Meacham Recounts “Hope” in Pandemic Publication
New nonfiction by Director of Writing and Applied Arts and English Co-Chair, Professor Rebecca Meacham (Humanities), appears in the anthology, Hope is the Thing: Wisconsinites on Perseverance in a Pandemic, edited by B.J. Hollars. Meacham’s piece, “Hope is the Hawaiian Shirt, Hope is the Ukulele,” is a brief mediation on family, nature, and teaching during statewide quarantine. The book is a historic collection of 100 Wisconsin voices, from truck driver to poet laureate, published by Wisconsin Historical Society Press. Available on Amazon and via Wisconsin booksellers.
