CATL’s online education workshop gets good reviews from Cofrin School
Earlier this month, on April 5, more than 15 business faculty members finished a two-day workshop covering topics to help improve online teaching and learning in the Cofrin School of Business. Facilitated by the Center for the Advancement of Teaching and Learning, the participants discussed Quality Matters, academic honesty issues and strategies to improve efficiency and engagement. The agenda was set in collaboration with the Austin E. Cofrin School of Business director, Prof. Lucy Arendt, to address the specific requests of business faculty and students. CATL, which is encouraging other units across campus to consider the value of such a program, quotes Prof. Arendt as follows: “In two days, our faculty had the opportunity to learn more about the tools available for ensuring high-quality student learning experiences in an online environment. CATL did a great job of tailoring the workshop to what we needed in the School of Business to ensure that all of our students have the opportunity to learn at the highest level.” Any departments or individuals interested in learning more about CATL’s customized support can contact catl@uwgb.edu.
