The Port report: container-shipping feasibility study is published
The Project Report for the Great Lakes Marine Container Service Feasibility Study was published in the recent Annual Report to Congress from the Great Lakes Marine Research Institute, a joint project of UW-Superior and UM-Duluth. The report includes an overview of the Port of Green Bay, a summary of research associated with the report including a survey of area manufacturers and shippers, and future activities. Prof. Ray Hutchison of Urban and Regional Studies is principal investigator for the study; the UW-Green Bay research team included Hutchison and faculty members John Stoll of Public and Environmental Affairs and Don McCartney of Business Administration. We’ll have more detail on the study itself in a future issue.
